Clubs contest recognizes achievement at the club level. The contest
is named in honor of Shanbrom, a
Grand Life Master from Tamarac
FL, who won her category 20 times.
Shanbrom died in 2013.
Only masterpoints won at
clubs are counted for these races.
The totals exclude points won in
Sectional Tournaments at Clubs.
Online points are not included.

been rounded to the nearest whole

Smith joined the ACBL
in October 2017 at the
age of 85 after not having
played bridge for 60 years.
It wasn't until he became a
widower that he decided to
return to bridge. He plays
at two clubs in Suffolk VA
and nearby Hampton, often
with Gil Dalton and Jeanne
Herrmann, who helped
bring him up to speed on
modern bridge. He won the
same category in the MiniMcKenney.

A recent immigrant to Canada from India, Anand learned by playing
kitchen bridge at a club in New Delhi, where they still don't have bidding
boxes. He plays three times a week at three clubs in and around Brampton,
a suburb of Toronto, mostly with Richard Brown, who helped him learn
Standard American. He is also the Mini-McKenney Rookie of the Year.

Instant Matchpoint Game
in July with fellow nonLife Master Jim Scofield.
Experienced players came
calling, and his game
continued to improve.
