It’s Like When the Beatles Came Here, Except It’s in Reverse… And It’s Not Music — It’s Digital Publishing…

The Nxtbook plan for digital domination took another step forward last week, with the official opening of our European Headquarters… Though we’ve had a wonderful stable of resellers overseas for years, we now have an official Nxtbook office in England, the operation of which will be led by the head of our former British reseller, Darren Fowler. We’re thrilled. Darren’s thrilled and the customers are thrilled. Here’s the official release:
Nxtbook Media Announces Opening of European Headquarters
Nxtbook Media is proud to announce the immediate opening of their European Headquarters. Situated in Manchester, U.K., the office will provide sales and service to Nxtbook’s rapidly expanding British base, and will provide corporate-level operational support to Nxtbook’s overseas resellers.
Nxtbook Media CEO, Michael Biggerstaff said the opening is a sign of Nxtbook’s commitment to both publishers and resellers in Europe.
“Having a Nxtbook facility in Europe allows us to provide top levels of service to a continent responsible for one fifth of all Nxtbook readership. With a firm base of reader acceptance in place, our publishers in these nations deserve a direct link to the thought and technology leadership Nxtbook has fostered in the United States.”
The office will be managed by Darren Fowler, European Operations Director for Nxtbook, and a former reseller of the product.
“In the past three years, we’ve seen a lot of excitement from publishers about the Nxtbook offering,” said Mr. Fowler, “but having a company owned facility will ease any concerns publishers have about ‘doing business overseas.’ Rather than representing Nxtbook, we now ‘are’ Nxtbook.”

Congratulations on the opening of your European headquarters–as we move to a society that is truly “multi-media” digital will play an increasingly important role, along with print, podcasts, video, and tweets.
Magazine publishers need to understand digital publications as one important tool in an enormous multi-media arsenal.
Excellent headline here, Marcus. It sure got my attention. Congrats on the opening of the European beachhead in the fast-growing Nxtbook empire.
The Beatles never came to Manchester, it was Liverpool?
