Snowcat skiing has been extremely popular at Powder Mountain, Utah. This season, an additional 1,000 acres of expert chutes and bowls have been added to the 2,000 acres already available for their Snowcat Powder Safari. The new area will be known as La Plata, named after a present day ghost town vibrant in the 1890s which was populated by workers in nearby silver mines. Wolf Canyon backcountry guided tours will also be available.
