Letters atom ray /angela Carr photography Moonbow over Kentucky I am so pleased that someone has finally written about the Moonbow of Cumberland Falls (January/February). I was first introduced to the phenomenon in 1992 when I found a delightful children's book by J. Patrick Lewis. "The Moonbow of Mr. B. Bones" has been a favorite ever since. I'd read it yearly to my fourth graders and it was always one they'd ask to hear again and again. Though writer Joe Tennis gave a scientific explanation for the bow, I will always prefer Tommy Morgan's: "There can be no rain or fog. Just the cool mist off the waterfall . . . the sky must be as clear as a glass jar." The book's story and illustrations are beautiful. Thanks again. I enjoy the magazine every time but this one especially. -Susie Mountcastle, Culpeper, Virginia A Great-Granddaughter's Recollection I'm a great-granddaughter of Eng and Sarah Yates Bunker ("A Tale of Two Men," Jan./Feb.).
