NSBE Annual National Convention Las Vegas, Nev. March 25–29, 2009 Energizing Creativity to Achieve Exponential Growth Celebrating Academic Excellence! I congratulate all of the hardworking students who have demonstrated their commitment to academic excellence this year by participating in NSBE competitions and excelling in the classroom. Academic Technical Bowl (ATB) winners spent hours practicing and had to hone their knowledge of numerous engineering fields to become victorious. Six teams, one from each region, will compete at Annual National Convention for the national title. Leave room on your convention agenda to find out which region will reign supreme by attending the competition on Friday, March 27. Also make time to learn more about the cutting-edge research conducted by Undergraduate Regional Research Showcase (URR) winners. These students conduct fascinating research in diverse fields and will be presenting their work at Annual National Convention on Saturday, March 28. In addition to participating in NSBE competitions, members have demonstrated their academic prowess by becoming eligible for the Academic Pyramid of Excellence (APEx). With grade point averages of 3.0 or above, these students are leaders in the classroom. Do you have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 but do not see your name listed here?
