Cycling through several management changes, Rasheid acquired NetNoir three years ago. He was determined to reshape its voice to become a premier portal for sophisticated urban culture and a message that goes beyond the reach of the BET market. An experienced network engineer, his business interests began as a hobby creating websites. Inspiration: Despite attending 12 diﬀerent schools through high school, Rasheid’s mother continually focused him on a good education. A single mother, she attended college with Rasheid sitting in class by her side. Doing Good: Rasheid remembers visiting soup kitchens as a child.
