According to Gallup, a strengths-based culture emphasizes the continual development
of every person's potential. Here are five mindsets of strengths-based organizations:
* Purpose, not paycheck. People value meaningful work-they want to use their
strengths doing work that connects to their sense of purpose.
* Development, not satisfaction. People feel successful when they can grow
through the work-they are looking for ways to develop their strengths and skills.
* Coach, not boss. People want managers who coach them-someone who
understands their strengths and values them as people, not just as employees.
* Conversations, not reviews. People seek ongoing feedback, not a one-time
meeting-they want to have genuine discussions about how they are doing.
* Life, not job. People value an authentic relationship with their leaders that
includes talking about work as an integral part of life.

accessibility (IDEA), every organization's journey is driven
by unique internal and external forces. The same is true
for individuals; we're each at different points of our own
learning journeys, informed by our lived experiences.
So, how do we work through aspects of our unique
journeys? Foster meaningful conversations to address
challenging topics within the workplace. One way to start
is utilizing insight sprints to quickly uncover unique
factors in an IDEA space, and then apply those insights
to the flow of work.

and the overall health and performance of organizations.
At TiER1, we launched Whole Self Stories, an internal
podcast series that invites employees to share the
life experiences that have shaped them (as well
as the secret interests and talents that energize
them). Whole Self Stories started as way to build
connections within the organization; it features
individuals who are not normally in the limelight.
Understanding someone's escape from a war
zone, experiences with depression, their origin
stories, and much more not only builds empathy;
it can normalize what others might be feeling
as well. Highlighting employee stories can help
people feel seen, heard, and understood, ultimately
fostering a more inclusive work environment.
