Honors Club in New York. He has
lived in the U.S. for 14 years.
Maidman and Marinov were
standing second, third or fourth in
the field after each of the first five
sessions. When the list of overall
winners was printed out after the
final session, they were in second
place and Engel-Melville were the
winners. Then Marinov noticed that
their plus 1000 score was scored
as plus 100, and the correction
changed the standings.

Mini-Life Master Pairs
A hometown pair - Ed Foran and
Nicolas Hammond - led the field
after the first day and went on to
win the Young Life Master Pairs, a
two-day event for Life Masters with
fewer than 1500 masterpoints.
Foran and Hammond have been
playing together for about three
years. Foran is a certified public
accountant and the father of a
6-year-old daughter. Hammond
is a stay-at-home dad with three
children, ages 6, 4 and 2. His 6year-old is already a bridge fan and
played at the Atlanta NABC.

They were second in the Young
LM-1500 Life Master Pairs: Margaret
and James Cooke.
