low club. Then the K Q squeezed
East who had to keep the J and so
also discarded a low club. Each opponent had one club remaining and
declarer's A 10 took the last two
club tricks for plus 1430.
Near the end of the final knockout,
there was a grand slam in which
the combined North-South holding
was only 25 high-card points. While
Wbridge5 did well to reach 6,
Jack did even better, reaching the
lay-down grand slam using a system
perfect for these hands. This was
