Going online
As you can imagine, we hear from members all the time with suggestions for
ways to serve them better. One of the most frequent queries is about where to
find past articles from this magazine, specifically on the Internet.
One of our goals at the beginning of the year was to produce an online version of the Bridge Bulletin, and I am pleased to be able to tell you that the goal
has been reached. This month's issue is available to current ACBL members at
the MyACBL portal.
This is just the first step in the process to make the magazine available online
to members. Our plan is to eventually have several years of the new-format
Bridge Bulletin in searchable format behind the My ACBL portal.
We believe this will be a significant addition to ACBL member benefits.
Note that the Bidding Toolkit and Conventional Wisdom features from the
Bridge Bulletin are currently available at the ACBL web site (www.acbl.org).

Welcome
I'm pleased to announce that Vicki Campbell has joined the Headquarters
staff as marketing director. Vicki has lived and worked in the Memphis area
since the mid-Eighties and has extensive experience in agency work and directly with clients.
We recognize that getting the word out about our great game is important,
and we are fortunate to have a person with Vicki's experience on board.

Perfect gift
As is the custom with this issue, our cover story focuses on the annual holiday gift guide - mostly bridge books. I'm a big fan of anything that promotes
bridge, and there are some excellent new books to consider this season for
your shopping list for the bridge lovers in your life. You might also leave this
magazine issue open at our gift guide section as hints to those who might be
shopping for you.
On the subject of giving for the season, let me remind you that a membership
in the ACBL is an ideal gift for someone who enjoys bridge but has not experienced duplicate. We all know how interesting and exciting our form of the
game can be. Let your friends in on the secret and help the ACBL at the same
time.

Bound for Boston
You still have time to make plans to attend the 2008 Fall NABC in Boston.
This is going to be a great tournament, and those who have experienced
NABCs know that there is something there for
everyone, from games for players at all experience
levels, lively entertainment and post-game snacks to
daily lectures for new players. The NABCs have it
all. See you there.
