Milne and Hand had no qualms
about opening the West hand 1NT
with a five-card major. This accurately
describes a balanced hand with
15-17 high-card points, exactly what
they hold. Hung and Neumann raised
to 3NT based on the potential of the
long club suit. That potential did
come to pass, but unfortunately the
weakness in hearts presented a fatal
flaw.
