Shaw made the phone call of a lifetime earlier this year, reaching out to Rogers' CEO and striking a deal
that, if approved, will create Canada's second-largest cable and cellular operator. There's still a way to go
before we know if Rogers' $16 billion purchase of Shaw gets the greenlight, but rest assured, Shaw will
keep the company-founded by his father in 1966-innovating. Earlier this year, Shaw launched Gig WiFi to
Western Canada by leveraging WiFi 6 technology and added a 1.5Gbps speed tier for business customers. ■

Davis Polk & Wardwell, where Reid served for nearly four years as
the firm's lead partner with Comcast. Harris served under President

content business across Verizon platforms,
including Fios, Broadband and
Wireless. She and her team are masters of the deal, with successes
including staving off a New Year's Day blackout of Hearst broadcast
stations and scoring deals for Verizon customers to enjoy free
Disney+ and Discovery+ for a limited time. McPherson is constantly
on the lookout for ways to entertain, inform and delight Verizon customers
across all of its platforms-including 5G. A frequent speaker
at industry events, McPherson has been a member of the Digital
Advisory Board and independent director at NATPE since September
2013.
