Boyers may operate a tiny cable system in the hollers of Southeast
Missouri, but as ACA Connects chair, she's a familiar name on
Capitol Hill. Don't mistake her folksiness for naivete. She's a straight
shooter who can give real examples of the toll expensive retransmission
consent is taking on her company and her customers. In
2021, Boyers has focused on ensuring that government dollars
to bolster broadband are spent wisely. Given her own experience
allowing customers to barter eggs for internet service, she believes
it is past time to create a permanent subsidy to help all afford highspeed
internet.

that if that could be reached nationwide, everyone would be happy.

Comcast's empire of business services falls under the purview of Stemper, who demonstrated
admirable agility when coronavirus shut the world down. He guided his team to help
business customers on a local level during the pandemic, a key benefit in what turned out to
be a longer short-term, and a shift for the long term in some cases. To boot, Comcast Business
revenue was up 9% during 1Q20, at a time when others were still finding their footing.
Stemper continues to lead the division in expanding its customer relationships by offering
value-added services such as Comcast Business WiFi, Pro and SecurityEdge. ■
