Comcast Cable
Ceasar's never been afraid to pave
her own way. That experience has
driven her to the front of a number of Comcast's most important
initiatives. She's an executive sponsor for the company's energy
strategy and carbon goals and has been charged with helping
lead the OneNetwork effort to bring together people and tools
from across Comcast's divisions. This year marked Ceasar's first
as the executive sponsor of the Comcast BENgineer organization,
a group within the Black Employee Network focused on
Black technologists. Outside of Comcast, she has long served
as a mentor in the Tech Connect Mentoring Program sponsored
by SCTE and WICT. She has plenty of lessons to pass on to the
next generation of leaders, having been named to the Cable TV
Pioneers Class of 2021.
Kamna Chan

A+E Networks
Chan led her team on the front lines of
an explosive growth area for A+E Networks,
spearheading the implementation and successful launch
of three FAST Channels, five international single series channels
and four podcasts. Her creative intuition and branding strategy
has pushed back against traditional models and resulted in new
solutions on how product art is viewed across the digital space.
As a proud leader of the Brand Cultural Engagement Team within
A+E Network's Marketing group, she actively engages the team
with educational and social initiatives that encourage everyone
to get involved and stay connected. She's thrilled that A+E
launched the ACE (Asian Community Excellence) group this year.
" It's been particularly uplifting knowing there's a community of
support coming from colleagues and an organization that recognizes
challenges and rallies with you, especially during these
trying times, " she says.
Susanna Chan

Charter Communications
A skilled workforce is the backbone
of any company, and Chan knows
compensation can attract and retain good workers. That's why
her team enacted plans to raise Charter's starting pay to $20 per
hour by 2022. They also recently launched Spark, an online rec12

program for employees. However, due to the pandemic,
Chan has spent much of the past year seeking technology solutions
to keep Charter's workforce healthy, including a COVID-19
tracker, daily health checks for employees who may have been
exposed and a tool to manage employee vaccination information.
As an HR pro, Chan advocates active listening. " To build trust and
foster open, honest communication, it is more important to listen
to what the other person is saying and avoid thinking of your response,
quickly forming assumptions, or listening with a specific
outcome in mind. Have a genuine interest in the person and seek
to understand and empathize what others have to share. "
Roy Cho

AMC Networks
Cho recognizes that creating an inclusive
working environment, showcasing
diverse stories and artists, and reaching out to multicultural
audiences is not just the right thing to do-it's good business.
As a result, he has found opportunities to expand the company's
footprint in traditionally underserved areas and invest and partner
with diverse business services. This year, Cho is at the center of
the business development strategy for the company's multicultural
streaming and content offerings-namely ALLBLK, the first
streaming service dedicated to Black TV and film. His work as Executive
Champion for the Asian American Culture Network recently
had him participating in a panel discussion on the Asian American
experience. " We talked about the uptick in violence we've seen
against Asian Americans in connection with COVID-19, " he said.
" We shot the panel and made it available to our entire company
and it led to a number of emotionally resonant and important
conversations I've been able to have with colleagues. "
Matt Chun

Discovery, Inc.
As part of The Asian Cultural Alliance,
an employee resource group dedicated
to championing Discovery's Asian
American employees, Chun is instrumental in promoting a diverse
and inclusive environment at the company. He has supported
the organization in a number of ways, including as a panelist as
part of the Alliance's career development and networking events.
His advice for fostering good communication is to look beyond
people's words and into their deeper intention behind them. " Assume
good intentions and reward trust with trust, " he suggests.
" Be curious and seek to understand the 'why' behind what people
say. Get to know the people you're communicating with so you
understand the context behind their communication. "
