Talks surrounding the complexity
and resilience of supply chains have
been constant since the start of the
COVID-19 pandemic, and Johnson is the person in charge of
ensuring Comcast's are as diverse as possible. He has established
new methods for his team to use to identify and develop
potential supplier relationships across the software, hardware,
construction and professional services part of the chain. By
leveraging new and existing partnerships, Johnson has crafted a
comprehensive strategy to find women, LGBTQ+ and minorityowned
businesses that could compete for Comcast projects.
Outside of the office, you can often find him engaged in civic
activities in support of Philadelphia. He serves on the advisory
boards of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and
the Philadelphia Conventions and Visitors Bureau.

One of Johnson's biggest priorities
is advancing legislation to help
deploy broadband in hard-to-reach
rural areas. Toward that end, she's been working with legislators
in Florida and other states to establish programs that offer
subsidies to broadband providers that are extending services to
the remote and underserved. Through public policy campaigns
and strategically targeted activities, Johnson is paving the way
for Charter's $5 billion network expansion across 24 states and
setting the stage for a smooth, rapid deployment. She knows the
vital role broadband plays in education today, and how important
education is to diversity. " While I understand that many of the
diversity, equity and inclusion challenges that we face today will
not be solved by education alone, I do believe that closing the
educational achievement and attainment gaps are essential to
advancing diversity, equity and inclusions goals. "

how a company can balance its own
goals with efforts toward DEI this year. She made it look easy
when she took on responsibility for environmental, societal and
governance initiatives at CSG in December. She showed her
enthusiasm for opening honest dialogue when she launched

for employees, and more to make sure employees felt
heard. Jones and her suggestions work double-duty, incorporating
diverse people, perspectives, voices and ideas while aligning
with CSG's culture, mission and values. Perhaps Jones's most
admirable trait is her drive for lifting others in the DEI space up,
including director of government and compliance at Sprint Accessibility,
Claudia Gordon. " She was the first Black female deaf
attorney in the United States and has been a disability rights
advocate most of her life...she's a hero, " says Jones.

In February of this year, Jones made
news of her own when she became
the first Black executive to lead a
major television news network. Jones quickly launched new
programming, including " The Mehdi Hasan Show. " By the end of
that same month, Nielsen ranked MSNBC as the top cable network,
no doubt thanks to 24/7 breaking news coverage of former
President Trump's second impeachment trial, President Biden's
first month in office and the latest updates on the COVID-19 pandemic.
For MSNBC's 25th anniversary in July, Jones announced
new programming and the rebranding of Peacock's exclusive
news channel as " The Choice from MSNBC. " Even in her new
role, Jones maintains an open-door policy. " To bring out the best
in your team, you have to be open with your staff and available
in any and all formats-whether it's through text, email, video, or
'Office Hours,' a weekly block of time that I've reserved for folks
to drop by and share their ideas, concerns, or to say hello. "

Joseph is dedicated to making connections
that matter. She's landed millions
of dollars in broadband subsidy
grants that will help expand Charter's broadband to previously
unserved and underserved parts of the Northeastern region she
assists. In September, she expects to complete an expansion
project bringing broadband to 145,000 new homes and small
businesses in upstate New York. Among her many other duties,
Joseph collaborated with ColorComm Inc. on a strategic virtual
partnership and co-moderated a fireside chat in which New
York Attorney General Letitia James shared her story as the first
woman of color to hold statewide office in New York. Joseph
says leading by example is the best way to spark open communication.

the same, it encourages other leaders and peers and bolsters an
effective yet authentic work environment. "
