The past year-and-a-half at work has been rather non-traditional for many of us, with little to
no business travel, telecommuting, virtual conferences and even company onboarding taking
place entirely online. Still early in their careers, our Thrivers Under 30 could have found plenty of
legitimate excuses for not getting the job done in this ever-changing environment. Instead, they
flourished, bringing in new greenlight projects, tackling DEI best practices, analyzing the rapidfire
world of FAST channels and coordinating a variety of production projects. Our four honorees
embody the can-do spirit that this industry was built on. We can't wait to see what they do next!
Brielle Buckler
Senior Manager, Business Operations and Strategy
WarnerMedia News and Sports
Buckler has served as the bridge between the WarnerMedia News and Sports' Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Office and Turner Sports/Bleacher Report, crafting the organization's DEI plan so that it aligned with
company policy while addressing the particular needs of the division. She manages the Sports DEI Task
Force, which meets biweekly to assess progress and opportunities. But her expertise is not limited to the
wide world of sports. Ten months ago, she became project lead of the Leadership Development Action Council, a global, cross-divisional
team formed to execute on short-term priorities in chairman Jeff Zucker's DEI Action Plan. Through that work, she's taken the reins on
a mentorship program that is a model for others and impacts 50 mentors and mentees across the US and London. Like everyone else,
she's ready for COVID-19 to be a thing of the past, though she appreciates the refined work-life balance it brought. Buckler traveled the
US by car over the last year, staying in short-term rentals and exploring national parks on the weekends. She also loves the office, and
hopes to see a world " where we can translate some of the equity we've built while at home-we are no longer limited by conference
room size, for example, when determining who can join a meeting " to the office. " I'm very focused on making sure returning to the office
does not mean that certain groups feel less capable, less seen, or marginalized in any way. "
