Fischer has had oversight for all of
Charter's financial activities since
last October, and she's guided
the company through numerous
milestones. She oversaw its investment
in the rural construction
initiative, navigated it through the
challenging supply chain environment
and played a key role in
its streaming joint venture with
Comcast. She's also an ardent
supporter of women and serves
on Charter's DEI Steering Committee.
This
industry is a good fit
for me because I get to
work to solve problems I
have personally experienced. I
grew up in a rural area where
lacking connectivity was, and still
is, a major issue and where many
families couldn't afford services
even if they were available. At
Charter we are actively addressing
broadband access, adoption and
affordability in rural communities.
We are aggressively expanding
our network to bring rural areas
the same high-speed broadband
enjoyed in major cities, and we are
helping families in need get and
stay connected, through Spectrum
Internet Assist and our participation
in the FCC's Affordable
Connectivity Program. I am excited
to be part of that solution. "
Sharon and her co-CEO Casey Kriley
are mobilizing their influence to
mentor a new crop of young professionals.
With 76% of Magical Elves'
permanent staff consisting of women,
LGBTQ+ persons and/or BIPOC
persons, the production house this
past year continued to deliver programming
that both reflects diverse
perspectives and drives ratings. Sharon
also serves as an advisory board
member at Hofstra University.

content for nearly two decades. A
woman of advocacy with razor-sharp
editorial judgment, she's a champion
of bringing diverse voices to the forefront.
She was a key driver of CNN's
groundbreaking global broadcast
this year of " Juneteenth: A Global
Celebration for Freedom, " working in
tandem with the network's special
events programming team.
My mother, Patricia Stephens
Due, is the woman
who has inspired me most.
She led the first jail-in of the nation as
a college student at Florida A&M
University. She was dedicated to
social justice but showed my sisters
and me that we always came first.
Dad would always apply the seven
principles of Kwanzaa to what was
going on in the community and Mom
would apply them to what was going
on in our lives. She made it clear that
family should always be our priority. "

Less than a year since joining
Hallmark Media, Lopez has helped
expand the presence of the company's
SVOD and its first FAST channel,
Hallmark Movies & More. Through
her work with several grassroots organizations,
including the T. Howard
Foundation and the FCC's Committee
on Diversity in the Digital Age, she's
paving the way for more women and
people of color to succeed in the
industry.
My favorite hobby is abstract
and modern painting. I
studied painting when I was
younger and it's my happy place. "
