Bucket List: The best thing I can do is spend more
time with my wife and family. My wife, Shawn, and
I are still dating after 44 years, and my kids are all
hardworking and pulling their weight as contributing
members of society. I am proud of them. I also want
to write a book. In fact, I've already started laying it
out- " Life on the Edge. "
SCTE is one of the backbones of the industry, and Dzuban
pours everything he has into ensuring its workforce and
technology leaders have the resources they need to chart
the future. He and his team are paving the path to 10G and
are developing smart amplifier standards as well as other
standards for how cable operators can apply machine learning
for proactive network maintenance. He's helping build
the next generation of cable engineers, striking a partnership
with Fort Hays State University to create a degree program
customized to the needs of the telecommunications industry.

What does the
metaverse mean
to you? To make
the most of the
future of data
in the metaverse, data mining
is going to be increasingly
important. We need to sort
through what is relevant for Automation, AI and machine learning.
Boredom buster? There is no time for boredom in my family. Between
taking care of our historic site (circa 1682), splitting wood, running our
sawmill, my podcast, surf fishing, ham radio and spending time with my
children and grandkids... I am never bored. Can't forget WORK.
How will inflation impact the media and broadband space? With people
traveling less, broadband usage is going to continue to go up. Media is on
fire! And the industry is going to continue to grow, offering connectivity
for a wide range of applications. Hope to close the digital divide.
Band I'd go see live: The Eagles. I've seen them before, but I would see
them again. I blast their music when I drive my Jeep with the doors off
and top down.
Your YouTube rabbit hole? I watch videos about WW2 & Korean War history,
archeology and many how-to instructions. I'm a huge history buff. ■

Mahogany brand and is centered on the culture and experiences of Black women. Lucas also has been busy expanding the company's
marketing and branding teams, which created a new on-air look and feel for the flagship Hallmark Channel-which continues on its ratings
hot streak-including the new tag line " Where Love Happens. "
