Bucket List: I would need at least two pages to share but
given the past two relatively isolated years due to pandemic,
I'd say travel-in the U.S. and internationally-ideally active,
adventurous travel!
Some might wonder how an operator smaller than Comcast and Charter
has leapfrogged to the top of this prestigious list. But the 100 is about
power moves, and Laulis has made plenty since becoming the first
female President and CEO of a leading cable and internet company in
2017. She's guided Cable One through its transition from a private to
publicly traded company, as well as through 13 acquisition and strategic
investments totaling $5.2 billion. Last year's M&A scorecard included
completing the Hargray and Cable America acquisitions. 2022 started off
with the creation of the Clearwave Fiber joint venture that's focused on
bringing FTTH to existing markets and beyond. Through all the growth,
Laulis puts an emphasis on the entire Cable One team, starting off earnings
calls by thanking associates. The company once again earned top
Associate Satisfaction scores in its annual survey, receiving especially
high marks for employee safety. Laulis serves on the boards of The AES
Corp., CableLabs, The Cable Center and C-SPAN. She has a reputation for
mentoring Cable One associates across all levels of the organization.
What does the metaverse mean to you? The metaverse (simulated digital environment)
means the next evolutionary change that I believe will help grow the need for robust
reliable internet connections-which Sparklight will be ready to provide for our
customers!

Your YouTube rabbit hole? " TED Talks. " You start one and more queue up and two hours
later, you realize you have been hijacked!
What household chore could you win a gold medal in? Anything to do with cleaning. I
am a big believer in everything has a place and there is place for everything. Most
cleaning is almost mindless (so you can think about other bigger projects), and
cathartic as you see the results of your work instantly.
If I had a time machine, I would... go back to the founding of our country. What amazing
and courageous acts took place! I would drop in any time from the 1760s to 1790s. ■
