THE WHY: Khan steers Charter's commitment to diversity through its Community
Impact programs. He's played a key role in partnerships with programmers such as TV
One and Univision to share information on content within local, diverse communities.
Khan also continues to lead a development workshop Frames of Reference, which
helps leaders look at their differences and perspectives and learn how to use them to
support others. He's also presented on behalf of Charter to the FCC's Communications
Equity and Diversity Council and the National Urban League.
HE SAYS... " DEI is more business focused now... It has become centered around
helping companies make solid business decisions. "
WHAT MOVIE OR SHOW IS MUST-WATCH FOR CELEBRATING DIVERSITY? " Ted Lasso. " It has so many
lessons on leadership, empathy and teamwork that cut across diverse groups.

THE WHY: Kuda plays a big role
in the DEI mentoring program at
Comcast, having advised numerous
employees from different backgrounds
within the APA community
during the past two years. He also
dedicates time at his alma mater,
Northwestern, where he's a member
of the Northwestern Network Mentorship
Program, through which he
assists fellow alumni in their pursuit
of careers in the tech product space.
HE SAYS... " Success records show
us that companies that embrace
DEI have greater growth, employee
satisfaction and customer satisfaction.
But we should not rest on our
laurels. We still have more work to
do. "
PLACE I WOULD LOVE TO
RETIRE TO: Anywhere near the
ocean! There is a calming effect
the ocean has for me that can't be
replicated any other way.

THE WHY: Kumar's grasp of the
importance of marketing to all backgrounds
has produced big business
results. He leads a team that supports
various efforts including Charter's
launch of Spectrum One and the
continued growth of Spectrum Mobile,
and he remains constantly on
the watch for ways to advocate and
include. Kumar recently worked with
the Emma Bowen Foundation and is
on his sixth consecutive year serving
Charter's Spectrum Digital Education
Grant Committee.
HE SAYS... " People understand the
value of DEI and I can't say they always
did. Throughout my career, prior
to Charter, DEI efforts were rarely considered
critical, let alone implemented
broadly. "
PLACE I WOULD LOVE TO RETIRE
TO: Turks and Caicos. It won't
happen and I'll end up back in Texas,
but a guy can dream.

THE WHY: LaPack launched
Asian-directed film " List of a Lifetime, "
public affairs initiative " Gift of a
Lifetime " and a partnership with studio
Fresh Films to give college-aged
women apprenticeships on Lifetime
movie sets-all while battling breast
cancer-that remain company mainstays
today. She helped create A+E's
Asian Employee Resource Group
and has implemented programs for
Asian American employees and advocates
for breast cancer awareness
and support of survivors of sexual
violence.
SHE SAYS... " I'm concerned as we
saw so many incredible DEI hires
across the industry a few years back,
and this year, we are seeing the
same folks stepping down. I really
hope DEI is not a 'fad' and buzz of
the moment, but truly an indication
of the where we're headed in future. "
