young talent through the T. Howard
Foundation, the Tau Omega Graduate
Chapter for Alpha Kappa Alpha
Sorority and Fox's internal channel.
WHO IS AN UNSUNG DEI HERO? Betty
White modeled what active allyship
looked like in her support of Black
and LGBTQ+ communities during
times when it was unheard of. As a
Black woman in media, I am grateful
for those individuals who, while they
didn't look like me, took me under
their wing over the years.

For 20+ years, Hernández has been
hiring, guiding and supporting individuals

Hewitt previously served as a board member for Covenant House Georgia and at
Comcast led the Employee Giving Campaign in the fall of 2018, which generated $10
million to support 8,000 nonprofit organizations. He has had a significant impact on
both company and industry career-development programs for frontline technicians
and leaders and is a strong advocate for mentoring within the cable telecommunications
industry, evidenced by his involvement in several key initiatives, including
BENgineers, the XGIE Council and the SCTE Engineering & Technical Operations
Committee.
WHY DO YOU THINK DEI HAS COME UNDER ATTACK BY SOME? Some individuals believe DEI represents entitlement rather
than opportunity. DEI facilitates diverse thoughts, backgrounds and beliefs in a company's cultural landscape and
decision-making. By creating a better environment for all, DEI strengthens a company's culture.
