As someone who has lived and worked in nearly every part of the globe, Sadiq
knows how to ensure all employees are represented and know they belong.
Last year, he spearheaded WBD's first Diversity Report as a blended company
as well as the launch of the WBD Inclusive Storytelling Guide (Microsite),
an internal open-source hub that provides DEI resources for everything from
pitching and post-production all the way to creating for a global marketplace.
WHAT DO YOU THINK IS THE BIGGEST MISCONCEPTION ABOUT DIVERSITY WITHIN
THE INDUSTRY? That diversity is a check box exercise. Diversity is not only
great for business, but it adds great value to who we are and what we do.

Creativity can come in many ways,
shapes and forms. At Fox Sports, creativity
is born not only in the pursuit
of perfection, but the simultaneous
freedom to fail. Those two pillars are
part of the creative freedom that EVP,
HR and Business Operations Kim
Beauvais has helped instill among
colleagues since assuming her role
in March 2019, and they have stood
even through the significant changes
in the cable and TV businesses.

individuals from all sorts of backgrounds
to contribute meaningfully
toward achieving those goals, as well
as the freedom to fail, I think allows a
culture at Fox Sports so the employees
feel they not only can have an impact,
but also a sense of belonging, "
she says. " I have high expectations
of my team, the HR and business op
team, as well as our senior leaders, to
help managers and employees at all
levels maintain that sense of belonging. "
Beauvais
knows what it takes to
lay the foundation of a company's
culture. She became part of the Fox
family in 2007 when she joined the
Big Ten Network as a Director of HR
and was part of the original manKim

agement team that launched the
channel. There was lots of recruiting,
interviewing, hiring and onboarding,
but also the opportunity to shape
the network's culture and attitude to
create BTN's identity.
The experience of helping launch
BTN has stuck with Beauvais as she's
climbed the Fox Sports tree, and now
she and her team continue to find
ways to enhance employees' well-being
through benefits, in addition to
creating new programs and initiatives
to enhance employee engagement.
She goes above and beyond to
connect with colleagues as well. A
year ago, she introduced " Coffee with
Kim, " which invites groups of employees
from different areas and levels of
the company to have conversations
about a wide range of work and
non-work-related topics.
Agile and empathetic with her
leadership style, Beauvais knows it's
important to have a grasp on the human
aspect of work culture. However,
a lesson she learned from one of her
mentors, Craig Benzel-who now
serves as VP, Sales and Business Development
for the Green Bay Packers-taught
her to place high importance
on understanding business and
having a sharp business acumen.
" Part of the success I've had, or my
team has had, is that we've made an
effort to truly understand the financials,
understand where the business
is going, and that piece of it is super
important, " she says. " It also gives
you fulfillment when the business
is successful, or it helps you adjust
what HR is doing when a business
isn't doing well. "
