apart is that it began as a streaming service
and then added a linear distribution platform
through traditional MVPDs, with the channel
being carried by Cablevision, DISH, Verizon
FiOS and others. With 2016 an election year,
the Glenn Beck channel has a robust lineup
of live and on-demand election content and is
gearing up for the launch of a new user interface
that will improve content discoverability.

Why? Another newbie, Univision
NOW gets the nod for being one
of the few Spanish offerings in
the SVOD space. It's off to a good
start, with Univision rolling out
access to local news in additional
markets based on the feedback
from L.A., NYC and Dallas.
T-Mobile recently incorporated the
service into its Binge On offering,
which lets users view content
without using data. While the offering is
robust, it doesn't include programming from
Univision's stable of cable nets. " We see
Univision Now as a first-time introduction
to a subscription service and ultimately
an on-ramp to pay TV, " Univision content
distribution president/chief commercial
officer Tonia O'Connor told us.
