Driessen's strong business acumen
has made her an MVP at ESPN. She
played a key role in the company's
multimedia programming rights deals,
which includes an historic 20-year
agreement with the SEC to create
and operate a multiplatform network that launched last
August. Driessen says fi nding the right mentor is rare, but is
worth the search. " Few people are willing to provide candid
advice and when done it can have an incredible impact on
improving one's performance, " she says.

Scripps Networks Interactive
Finch was promoted to Scripps' chief
programming, content and brand
offi cer in August, which makes her
responsible for content across the
company's six networks. She has
tough shoes to fi ll with Food Network chief Brooke Johnson
electing to retire, but given the record-setting audience
growth for HGTV and DIY Network while she was at the
helm, we're confi dent she'll expand her innovative thinking to
new heights with the added responsibility. She culls much of
her inspiration from her team. " They're an amazing group of

Conkling is responsible for developing
actionable business strategies
for NBCU's new and existing digital

She has been instrumental in developing the business case for
NBCU's direct-to-consumer comedy SVOD offering, Seeso,
as well as identifying and executing on investment opportunities
across the portfolio. She also understands the importance
of getting out of her comfort zone, fi guratively and physically.

Avgiris has served in a variety of key
roles at Comcast for more than two
decades. She continues to work
toward simplifying how Comcast
does business with customers that
will improve the company's overall
customer experience. " There are so many opportunities for
women in cable, and especially in non-traditional roles like
product development, engineering, operations and general
management, " she says. " Women need to step outside their
comfort zone and go for these roles. "

Apparently leading the largest global
rebrand of a television channel in pay
TV history wasn't enough for Dolan.
She also helped coordinate the
international simultaneous day-anddate
launch of the series " Wayward
Pines " in 125 different countries, setting yet another record.
This busy author and podcaster sees plenty of opportunity
for women on the international side of the business. " Our
business continues to grow very quickly plus there is room
for a lot of experimentation that might be harder to pull off
in the United States, " she says. " The environment defi nitely
encourages new thinking. "
