Top Women in Technology
Pam Arment
President/Owner
Pamela J. Arment
Consulting
A telecommunications
professional with more
than 25 years of experience,
Arment was the very fi rst winner of WICT,
SCTE and Cablefax's Women in Technology
award in 1995. She has been a consultant for
more than 15 years, working with Time Warner
Cable and others. When it comes to mentoring,
" always remember the focus is to support
and provide insight when possible on the path
the mentee is on, not the mentor's path, " she
advises.
Nomi Bergman
President
Bright House Networks
Bergman was part of
the team at Advance
Newhouse that launched
Bright House in 2003,
and she has been the president since 2007.
She's known for her visionary leadership, especially
as it relates to technology. " We have
such a dearth of women in technology that
I cannot help but reply the opportunities are
signifi cant for our industry as it relates to hiring,
promoting and retaining women in tech.
Yet, there is defi nitely room for more women
in all areas of leadership, " she says.
Jackie Boudreau
Executive Director, IT
Operations
Cox Communications
During the past 12
months, Boudreau
fi nalized a nationwide
business critical transformation and is shifting
to leverage the lessons learned at the
corporate offi ce in Atlanta. While exceeding
expectations on the transformation efforts,
she mindfully participates and contributes to
many WICT and WIT programs. " Structure,
commitment and using actual life's lessons
are key to achieving program goals and
continued success, " she says.
Sabrina Calhoun
VP, Engineering
Bright House Networks
Calhoun has 25-plus
years of engineering
management experience
in the telecom
industry. She started her engineering career
at BellSouth Telecommunications, where she
spent 10 years before joining Cox. She is the
go-to person for network architecture and
construction of outside plant for all six Bright
House markets. To unwind, " I silence the
electronics and lose myself in a good mystery
book, " she says.
Sherita Ceasar
SVP, National Video
Deployment
Engineering
Comcast Cable
As everything is becoming
software programmable
in the delivery of cable services
and products, Ceasar believes the biggest
innovation growth areas for women in cable
are " software coding, big data analytics and
the Internet of Things. " The exec, who has led
the deployment of thousands of video infrastructure
components and software delivery,
expects more IoT innovation as the network
extends into smart home and wearables.
Linda Dillman
Chief Information
Officer
QVC
Dillman's background
makes her well suited
to keep QVC at the forefront
of innovation. She has led world class IT
teams for more than 20 years, having served
in senior exec positions on information and
IT at GP and Walmart. Her trick for maintaining
the personal-professional life balance?
" I have a keen eye for detail and like to map
things out as I go to stay on top of business
while also mingling in time to relax and enjoy
life outside of the offi ce, " she says.
Leslie Ellis
Owner
Ellis Edits
Ellis is a translator. She
interprets the dense
language surrounding
the technologies and
technology strategies of service providers,
and particularly cable service providers. She
began her career in the cable industry in
1987, writing hardware and software manuals
for an advertising insertion company.
Vickie Fiala
Group VP, Operations
Planning
Time Warner Cable

for the evolution of
the company's digital
phone product since she joined TWC in 2004.
She plays a key role in the consolidation of
all circuit ordering into one group including
voice, data, backbone, commercial NaviSite
and internal circuits. " The most important
aspect of mentoring is trust and confi dentiality, "
she says.
Charlotte Field
SVP, Application
Platform Operations
Charter
Communications
Field joined Charter
in January, leading
Charter's Video, Service Delivery, Portal/
Email, Security and Data Center functions.
She's racked up 25 years of experience in the
industry, including 11 years at Comcast and
18 at AT&T, where she created the fi rst true
cable national-network operations center. A
former Women in Technology Award winner,
she played an integral role in bringing Comcast
into the consumer phone business. Field
has always made family a top priority. When
her kids were young, she would have them
fax their homework to her when she was on
the road.
