for fave female TV character because she " allows
me the opportunity to laugh at myself, find humor

This year Betron led the
launch of the new Convergence
Effectiveness Modeling initiative; her team
collaborated closely with ESPN's research division
to create a multimedia planning tool for marketers.
She also worked with a third-party company, Brand
Asset Valuation, to calculate key brand metrics in
client partnerships and sponsorships. She says
brand safety in advertising is crucial. " There are
so many third-, and fourth-, and fifth-, etc., party
intermediaries between brands and where their ads
actually appear. Context matters, and marketers
need to understand exactly the type of content they
are associated with and supporting. "

with new technologies and distribution platforms.
For Bigalow, there's no question tackling gender
equality in cable will succeed if top execs make it a
priority. " We have to make the workplace 'workable'
for women of all levels, and this should be modeled
at the top, " she says. " More than ever, women need
work environments where they can find balance and
sustain a burgeoning career alongside life outside
of work. "

made Bonnell a key asset to Comcast since 2011.
The company recognized her enviable skill set by
promoting her to her current post earlier this year,

responsibilities. Bonnell believes cyber security
will continue to elevate in importance. " The speed

for Brennan and WICT.
Under her leadership,
WICT's membership surpassed the 10,000 mark
last year for the first time in its 39-year history,
and WICT recently launched two new chapters-
Greater Memphis-Jackson and Latin America-setting
a new record in chapter numbers at 23. If the
industry needs more proof that gender diversity is
the way to go, all executives have to do is look at
the numbers. " There is an abundance of research
at our fingertips which demonstrates that strong
gender diversity makes stronger, more profitable
companies, " she says.

Brennan works hand-inhand
with FNG's business

new channel ideas and acquisitions, spending her
days developing multi-platform growth strategies
and exploring new business models with alternative
platforms. Analyzing the latest in video consumption
trends is top of mind for Brennan, who has coined
the term " Franken-metric " in describing the use of
multiple ad metrics. What does she think is the next
step in closing the gender gap? " Men and women
both need to look at how they perceive and respond
to women. We need to recognize that gender bias
exists in all of us, and being a woman, or the father
of a daughter, doesn't make you immune to that. "

Leading a team that
develops legal strategies and negotiates linear
and digital distribution agreements for one of the
industry's largest programming portfolios keeps
Brockhage plenty busy. She also ensures that all of
NBCUniversal's content distribution agreements are
in compliance with the consent decree and FCC order
that governs the Comcast/NBCUniversal merger.
Thankfully for her, Brockhage has a great way to
relieve stress: " Get outside in real air and real light
for a little while in the middle of the day. "

A&E
Since taking the reins
of the A&E programming department, Bryant has
reshaped the network's program strategy and
realigned the programming team. Her priority this
year is to continue building upon the programming
strategy she has set out for A&E. Bryant also led the
relaunch of the acclaimed " Biography " series, with
episodes on Biggie Smalls, Tupac and David Koresh,
among others. She advises a four-part plan for
destressing: " Deep breaths. Sleep. Phone on mute. A
little Chardonnay. "
