new AI-powered data engine

artificial intelligence (AI) search-engine
capabilities. Shiftconnector's software
platform is designed to enhance communications
among shift teams for

of AI-powered Smart Search capabilities

A new optimizer tool for wet
electrostatic precipitators
This company has launched a digital
optimizer for the Editube wet electrostatic
precipitator (WESP). The new
WESP Optimizer improves the operation
of the WESP unit by better adjusting
it to changes in the overall process,
and has important built-in functions to
protect units with plastic tube bundles
(photo) during low acid-load operation,
as well as during startup and
commissioning. In addition, the Optimizer
increases removal efficiency
during high acid-load operation, and
provides energy savings
whenever
there is spare capacity. The Optimizer
also monitors the behavior of each
WESP, enabling faster damage detection,
and provides operators with otherwise
unavailable information, such
as calculated removal efficiency, says

continuously monitors the process
conditions and provides a combination
of automatic optimization of transformer
rectifier (T/R) unit parameters,
information and suggested actions

A smart way to
detect spills and leaks
The SpillGuard leak-recognition system
(photo) instantly alerts users when
a leak is detected. This FM-approved
technology is placed within the sump of
a spill-containment device, or near the
equipment to be monitored, and alerts
users with an audible and visual alarm
for a minimum of 24 h when contact is
made with a liquid. Designed for use
with all essential and common liquid
hazardous substances, the explosionproof
SpillGuard features intelligent
sensor technology in a highly resistant,
electrically conductive housing. It is
suitable for use at temperatures from
32 to 104°F, and has a red LED light
to indicate that the unit is operating

A new way to monitor
safety-valve activity
The LiftTrack 2.0 (photo) is a new indicator
device for pressure safety valves
(PSVs) that enables users to capture
data on the various lift events that
occur within a safety valve. The LiftTrack
2.0 device is connected to the
valve system and detects all lift events
within each connected valve wirelessly,
and also has the option to record
acoustic outlet data or temperature
coupled with the lift events. The mechanism
records data on lift events and
stores the information, which can be
viewed in the manufacturer's app, so
that users can better understand the
PSV and overall system reliability. Capable
of tracking multiple safety valves
at a time, the LiftTrack 2.0 allows users
to see what time the lift event occurred
and track how long the safety valve
was open, helping to mitigate the environmental
release from each valve.

relief valves, pressure-vacuum relief
valves and other specialty relief-valve
