BEST OVERALL TRADE SHOW EXHIBIT (UNDER 50' X 50')
LEGO invited San Diego Comic-Con fans to " Be Kind, Rewind " on the show floor with
a huge Blockbuster Video installation-renamed Brickbuster Video-that played
into consumers' desire for nostalgic experiences. Even that heavenly buttered
popcorn scent permeated the booth, which was awash in Blockbuster's signature
blue and yellow color scheme and offered touchpoints like a " BrickDrop " slot and
Membership Services counter where fans could pick up a laminated membership
card, aisles of video racks displaying vintage VHS cases on the bottom and LEGO
brick-built dioramas on the top, and the iconic New Release wall, which encouraged
attendees to build a video cover to add to the wall using LEGO bricks.
Movie poster-themed standees were also part of the mix, and fans lined up to
snap a photo on top of a life-size LEGO brick Star Wars Speeder Bike or next to the
brand's versions of characters like Captain America. A retail space was also located
next to the " store, " offering early-release, " get it here first " products for purchase
and a free " Minifigure customizer " experience that let fans build their own exclusive
Comic-Con figurine.

When Marvel and game developer Nuverse launched a free game called Marvel
Snap featuring all of the multiverse's characters, New York Comic Con was the
perfect place to launch the product and drive buzz that would inspire downloads.
Marvel's booth space replicated the game's trailer and included scenic elements like
a 20-foot-tall Daily Bugle building, Oscorp Industries, an NYC bodega and plenty of
Easter egg graphics woven into the experience.
Photo-worthy moments and gaming stations loaded with a pre-released
version of the game could be found throughout, but the hero activation was the
Collectors Cube Experience anchored by a 16-foot by 16-foot Cosmic Collectors
Cube that looked like the one from Marvel Snap and transported fans to its setting.
Digital screens hidden behind two-way mirrors featured 50-plus pieces of custom
animated content that showcased over 200 Marvel Snap cards, while a 360-degree
soundscape featured authentic Marvel character voiceovers, and mirrors dotting
every surface made attendees feel like they were drifting in space or at the center of
a live card battle between characters.
