Medical device reprocessing is
changing healthcare, not only in the
OR and supply chain, but throughout a
healthcare facility's operations. As more
studies are released demonstrating the
effectiveness of reprocessed medical
devices, and their impact on the environment
and on a facility's bottom line,
there will be greater adoption of reprocessing
programs, which will improve
care delivery while reducing the environmental
impact of healthcare.
This evolution has already begun,
and the financial analysis provided by
AMDR and the Fraunhofer Institute for
Environmental, Safety, and Energy Technology
demonstrates the opportunity
medical device reprocessing offers to
the healthcare industry. ORM
