learned from the week behind us. "
The conference calls have been very
successful, and the staff have given
great feedback about how the calls
have helped ease their anxiety and
helped them to understand the overall
plan for the center, he says.
Ibragimov also has daily COVID-19
calls with leaders, medical staff, and
administrators at the main hospital and
the center. " We get daily updates about
how we are doing as a system and
about any new protocols and COVID-19
patient status, " he says. " It is very beneficial
to be a part of this. "
Reopening protocol
Ibragimov is working on a protocol for
reopening the center and is asking
these questions:
* What is it going to look like when we
resume operations?
* Which cases will we do first?
* How will we protect our staff? "
* What kind of PPE will we ask staff to
wear?
* How will we screen patients?
* Is it feasible to screen patients the
day before surgery?
* Should we add a negative pressure
room?
Ibragimov says that from his conversations
with the surgeons, he has a good
idea of what cases they want to do first.
