Unique Monitoring Strategy for the Unique Huntly Power Station
The monitoring of steam turbo-generators is important for thermal power stations,
and it's usually performed absent significant issues. New Zealand's largest
power plant, though, offered some challenges. The plant's operators came
up with a monitoring strategy that not only addressed problems, but proved
cost-effective, and enabled remote monitoring and data gathering.

A waste-to-energy power plant in Taiwan has improved its operations and
maintenance by implementing an intelligent program that increases the
amount of power generated per unit of waste, along with reducing unexpected
shutdowns.
