Semi-Automated Tube Bundle Cleaner
Part of a family of automated and semi-automated tubecleaning
accessories, the new Saflex 2000 makes tube
bundle cleaning more productive because it can clean
four times as many tubes in a given period as manual
water jetting, says NLB Corp. Operating at pressures up
to 40,000 psi, the semi-automated accessory cleans two
tubes (ranging from 4 mm to 15 mm in diameter) at once,
on both the in- and out-strokes. The operator simply
positions the flex lances at the tube openings and pushes
buttons on the hand lance to feed them in and out at rates
of up to 0.6 m/second. Alternatively, the lances can be
automatically positioned with an optional X-Y positioner
using wireless controls that let the operator stand clear of
the action. Stroke lengths are adjustable to accommodate

No-Glass ORP Sensors
Engineers and technicians searching for a
high-performance oxidation-reduction potential
(ORP) sensing solution will find that the S10
and S17 ORP Sensors from Electro-Chemical
Devices (ECD) feature a no-glass design with
platinum or gold sensor tips to operate safely
in a wide range of applications. ECD's ORP S10
and S17 Sensors come with easily replaceable
ORP cartridges that plug into a rugged 316
stainless steel body, which incorporates the
sensing element, a temperature module, and a
signal conditioner with cabling. The S10 is an
immersion or insertion style sensor, and the
S17 is a valve-retractable style sensor.
ECD's ORP electrode cartridge features rugged
PEEK (polyetheretheketone) construction and
measures from -2,000 to +2,000 millivolts
over a wide temperature range of 23F to
176F. The ORP sensors are available with the
SENTINEL option to monitor the reference
electrode potential and display measurement
drift graphically and/or with a 4-20 mA output
providing a predictive maintenance alert before
reference electrode degradation causes problems

Pre-Cleaner for Vulcanized Conveyor Belts
The new QC#1 MT Pre-Cleaner from Martin Engineering is a high-quality
cleaning blade for use on vulcanized conveyor belts. It features a
special polyurethane blend and tungsten carbide tip to deliver service
life two to three times longer than conventional urethane blades, the
company claims. Designed to provide excellent cleaning performance
without any break-in period, the pre-cleaner maintains consistent
tension without frequent adjustment, requiring retensioning
just twice a year in most applications.
The new pre-cleaner was developed specifically for
vulcanized belts with no mechanical splices and can
be used at belt speeds up to 900 feet per minute. The
heavy-duty blade is well suited for wet, sticky material
applications, and there is no limitation to the type of
material on which it can be used. Utilizing both spring
and twist tensioners, the QC#1 MT fits both one- and
