Relationships with hall mates revealed the strongest association, particularly with measures such as improved skills in social communication. This aspect also had one of the highest means and was therefore most affected by the residential experience. In support of the quantitative data, one student mentioned that interacting with hall mates from various backgrounds had enhanced her communication skills. Three others also acknowledged the positive impacts of hall life on their interpersonal skills, which included making more friends and thinking more maturely.
