amed in honor of the Native American tribe
of Caddo Indians, Caddo Valley is a hotbed of
activity, where tourists stop for dining, outdoor
adventure, or relaxation after a day of traveling
Highways 7, 67, or Interstate 30. It's also situated on the
Caddo River and is the nearest town to DeGray Lake,
making it popular among fishermen, boaters, and anyone
looking for fun.
LODGING
Whether you're here to catch the next Battle of the
Ravine or to catch the next big bass, there is always room
available in Caddo Valley. The city alone boasts nine
national motel chains, where the weary traveler can stay
overnight for an affordable cost. Those seeking luxury are
invited for a getaway at one of 90 rooms at DeGray Lake
Resort State Park Lodge, complete with a lobby, conference
center, fitness center, indoor hot tub, and the horeline
Restaurant. If you're towing a camper, the city is also home
to the Caddo Valley RV Park, which boasts 43 campsites
consisting of a mix of back-in and pull-through sites, a
seasonal swimming pool, a laundry room, and a clubhouse.
Additionally, Golden's Riverside RV Park is perched on the
banks of the Caddo River. There are several other lodging
opportunities just a short drive on Highway 7. Looking to
spend a night beneath the stars? Both DeGray Lake State
Park and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers boast numerous
tent and RV sites located within 12 campgrounds. Iron
Mountain Lodge and Marina is right on the lake and
features logsided cabins with fireplaces and hot tubs and
has recently added a 17-site RV park with full hookups, a
private bathhouse, and a laundromat.
DINING
When it comes to feasting, Caddo Valley is packed with
restaurants that offer mouth-watering cuisine. The locally
owned Fat Boy's Fine Food serves up generous portions
of barbecue, while just up the street at The Fish Net, also
locally owned, hungry travelers can find a mix of seafood
and all the fixins' that go along with it. ooking for a mix
of surf and turf? Check out The Flying Burger's selection of
burgers, seafood, and chicken dinners. Pull up a chair at
Cracker Barrel for a variety of Southern plates and feel like
you've stepped into an old-time general store. Tex-Mex is
another option in the Valley, as Los Agaves offers south-ofthe-border
cuisine in a festive atmosphere. If it's scenery
