with 35 years of expertise. From designing new equipment
and developing supplemental type certificates to certifying
modifications and repairs, Aeronautical Engineers Australia

During the last 35 years, the
company has grown significantly
with offices in Australia's major
cities - Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth
and Sydney. Customers include
general aviation operators and
installers, MROs and leasing
organizations. To serve additional
markets, the company expanded in 2010, adding two sister
organizations to service the airline industry - Airline Technical
Services and Bournemouth Aviation Consultants in the United
Kingdom.
"The company has grown over the years in the Australian
market, and we have now branched into the European market
via the UK," said Dale Marshall, avionics coordinator,
who manages the avionics business, including technical
oversight, process improvement, quality control and business
development. "We recognize the aviation industry is continually
expanding across international borders, so we need to be an

international organization able to service the varying needs of
an international market."
From Design to Certification
While the company does not provide hands-on avionics
services, it does offer independent advice and project
management of installations. To
its airline customers, Aeronautical
Engineers Australia also offers
technical and operational solutions,
including systems and maintenance
support, as well as project and
performance assessments.
Recently, the company helped
Transaero
Airlines
completely
refurbish eight of its 767 aircraft.
The program involved reconfiguring the interiors with new
seats, class layout, dividers, furnishings and a new in-flight
entertainment system.
"We'll work with OEMs to provide certification of their
equipment together with the development and certification
of STCs," Marshall said. "For our GA and airline customers,
we routinely develop and approve a whole range of systems
upgrades and approvals, working with the customer and their
chosen installation organization."
The company's experience working with international
aviation organizations and their approval regulations promotes
