Summit Aviation
SUMMIT AVIATION recently restored the oldest surviving CH-47A Chinook helicopter for the U.S. Army Transportation Museum at Fort Eustis, Va.
The restored Chinook, aircraft 59-94984, was unveiled April 11 at the museum,
less than a year after it was delivered to Summit's facility in Middletown, Del. Summit
Aviation, a Greenwich AeroGroup company, has experience in the assembly and
modification of Chinooks.
Aircraft 59-94984 is the third Chinook manufactured by the Boeing Co. After delivery to the U.S. Army in the early 1960s, the heavy-lift aircraft served in its primary
role of developmental flight testing and remained at Fort Eustis until its retirement
nearly 40 years ago.
According to the company, the restoration project's goal was to return the aircraft
to as close a representation of a production aircraft as possible.

Aviation Safety Resources
AVIATION SAFETY RESOURCES selected Pennsylvania-based Inteprod LLC to
design and fabricate the control panel for the prototype of its Smart Recovery System
for general aviation aircraft.
Inteprod is an ISO 13485-certified and FDA-registered contract manufacturer with
30 years of creative experience and knowledge in the design and development of
lifesaving and life-changing medical products. Working closely with the ASR team and
software developers at Springton Technologies, Inteprod will design and fabricate the
SRS-1 control panel using its in-house rapid prototyping system.
