i s to l ea rn from t he vete ra n s i n t he i n d u st ry. Yes, t he
i n d u st ry i s ch a ngi ng wit h eve r-growi ng tech no l ogy, a n d
this needs to be taen into consideraon. But theres
a wea l t h of knowl edge a n d expe ri e n ce i n t he i n d u st ry,
so soa it up. Also, dont burn bridges. Its a small
industry, and you dont ant to brea a possible future
netwo rki ng op po rt u n ity.
What do you like most aout the AEA
Im passionate about aviaon and avionics. Im
etremely thanful to be part of an industry thats both
technical and personable at the same me. Ive been
a b l e to l ea rn so much from worki ng with both a ssociate
membe rs a nd regu l a r membe rs ove r the yea rs, a nd th i s
has been invaluable to my career groth. Im hoping to
use this to beer AEAs strategic focus and also mentor
othe rs ente ri ng the i nd ust ry.
Why did you ant to serve on the oard
I served on AEAs strategic planning commiee recently
and realied the AEA is in a state of change for the beer.
I felt my eperience and propensity to be vocal about
my thoughts ould benet the organiaon. In fact,
aer being elected, I as immediately ased to chair a
commiee that ill loo into hat can be done to beer
communicaon and relaonships beteen associate
membe rs a nd regu l a r membe rs .
What does serving on the AEA oard of directors
mean to you
I tae this posion very seriously, as the AEA is a long
standing organiaon. I feel honored that mem be rs
of t h e o rga n i za t i o n voted fo r me to be t h e i r
representative. I am committed to listening to their
t h o u g h t s a n d re comme n d a t i o n s a n d vo i c i n g t h em i n
