GFC 600 adds the Cessna

GFC 500 and GFC 600
collectively now serve 43
aircraft families and over
275 individual aircraft types.
" With our expanded GFC
autopilot coverage, coupled
with new turbine EIS solutions, we now have comprehensive
upgrade options for popular turbine-powered aircraft, starting
with the PC-12, featuring navigators, flight displays, EIS,
autopilots and more; these solutions offer scalable yet highly
integrated and incredibly capable aircraft upgrades, with
EIS that supports engine start, fuel-balancing optimization,
exceedance timers, dynamic gauges, data logging and more. "
Many of these options and features also are available for
the Beechcraft King Air C90 and 200 models.
Garmin also unveiled the D2 Mach 1 GPS aviator
smartwatch with classic pilot watch styling and a bright
AMOLED touchscreen display that offers advanced tools for
flying - plus health and fitness features - to help pilots and
aviation enthusiasts accelerate their adventures. With a battery
life of up to 11 days, pilots can rely on the D2 Mach 1 around
the clock to keep tabs on the weather, receive automatic alerts
for changing conditions, and help navigate with the moving
map and HSI, according to the company.

Genesys Aerosystems updated attendees at the AEA
Convention on three of its ongoing programs: the HeliSAS
rotorcraft autopilot and stability augmentation system, the
Genesys Control Panel for the company's line of remotemounted,
software-defined nav/comm radios and progress on
certifying the S-TEC 5000 digital autopilot aboard Cessna
Citation models. Jamie Luster, director of sales and marketing

for Genesys Aerosystems, presented a video outlining the new
developments.
The company announced it has started development
of the fourth axis for its HeliSAS autopilot and stability
augmentation system. The fourth axis brings hover and hold
functionality as well as collective control to the HeliSAS
product line. According to the company, adding the fourth-axis
hover/hold capability provides operators with " easy singlebutton
access to enter the helicopter into a stable fixed-position
hover and hold orientation for a hands-free operation to focus
on other priorities. It also includes collective control to ensure
proper speed inputs for all phases of flight. " Certification and
an STC are expected by late 2023.
The Genesys Control Panel is a Dzus-mount unit designed
to interface with the company's line of digital radios when not
installing the Genesys Avionics Suite. The GCP provides users
with a single controller for VHF comm, VHF nav, and UHF
comm frequencies. The radio itself also continues to maintain
third-party compatibility to other approved nav/comm radio
controllers. " The GCP was designed to offer customers as
many options as possible when installing our digital radios as
a retrofit solution, " Luster said.
The GCP will be available starting in the first quarter of
2023.
Genesys also announced it plans to obtain an STC for the
full-featured S-TEC 5000 digital autopilot aboard the Cessna
S550 (Citation II/Bravo) and S560 (Citation V/Ultra/Encore)
in the fourth quarter of 2022.

opening session at the 2022 AEA Convention, is a major
