EASA-FAA Conference
This year's EASA-FAA International Safety
Conference will take place in Cologne, Germany, from
13-15 June 2023.
The annual FAA-EASA International Safety
Conference gathers senior aviation professionals from
regulators, manufacturers, airlines and associations
from all over the world to discuss global aviation safety
and sustainability topics from the perspective of both
the regulators and industry. This year's topics include:
How do we model the path for the future? How can we
ensure safety while considering sustainability? What
actions are we taking to manage and further develop a
safe, modern and sustainable aviation system?

CAP 2375 - Part 145 Maintenance Organisation
Exposition Guidance has been updated. Please refer

exposition.

New Zealand
In the most recent edition of Vector Online at
https://bit.ly/3la08Rb, the Civil Aviation Authority of
New Zealand published an article titled " Missed the
ADS-B deadline? "
if they're flying in controlled airspace and what to do if
the pilot needs to enter controlled airspace without it.
CAA NZ publishes revision
3 to AC21-06, Identification
of products and parts -
Identification information,
provision, and replacement
According to the CAA, this AC has been revised in
line with the systematic review of all ACS. Revision
3 is the first revision since 2007 but does not make
substantive changes.
Revision 3 changes include:

Clarifies standards for dataplates, serial numbers and
other identification plates.
Clarifies that for rule 21.803 - Identification of
aircraft, aircraft engines, and propellers, Part 21
Subpart Q applies to Part 148 manufacturing
organisations producing a type-certificated product.

Corrects typos and other minor errors and clarifies
requirements for special category aircraft.
Formats this AC in line with current ACs.
Australia
The Civil Aviation Safety Authority has published a
revision to Civil Aviation Advisory Publication 42.B-01.
Regulation 42B of CAR provides that the
certificate of registration holder of class B airplanes
may use the CASA maintenance schedule. CAAP
42.B-01 contains a copy of the CASA maintenance
schedule but modified to include provision for
the certification of each task and a final category
and coordination certification. This will allow the
schedule to be copied and utilized as worksheets.
The CASA maintenance schedule has been designed
as an option to the manufacturer's maintenance
schedule. Before the certificate of registration holder
elects to use the CASA maintenance schedule,
however, it is recommended that a study be made
of the manufacturer's schedule, as it is considered
that the manufacturer's schedule is generally more
appropriate for the maintenance of the airplane.
This latest revision amended the layout/formatting
in Appendices B-F. An earlier revision (December
2022) provided an administrative review. q
