WBParts Express became an AEA member in 2017 and
brought those same lean six practices to avionics shops. In
2018, WBParts Express released the Aircraft Maintenance &
Inventory software system. AMI is a work order management
solution that allows AEA members to fully automate their shop
with a paperless, cloud-based operations/management system.
AMI users are saving tens of thousands of dollars annually and
are utilizing a platform that provides
the visibility and shop controls
necessary to grow their business -
quite literally, allowing " small shops
to do big things. " With feedback from
AEA members, AMI has become one of the most-exciting
software systems in the aviation maintenance community.
Currently, several AEA members are providing training and
implementation services to other members.
Also released in 2018 was the Express Avionics Hardware
Cart System, which saves up to 10% of technician labor
hours by providing just-in-time shop consumables on the
hanger floor - no more walking around the facility rounding
up consumables. Headed up by Jaramey Ham, WBParts
Express continues to help avionics shops be more productive
and profitable by sharing his expertise in lean six practices.
WBParts Express has developed two new test systems with
guidance from AEA members. The Express Pitot-Static Test
Cart and the XPS Test Cart are designed to simplify the
91.411 and 91.413 processes by including an air data tester,
ramp tester, hoses, adapters, and an RVSM manifold for
easy leak detection. WBParts Express is currently working
on integrating the software from the test
equipment in these carts with the AMI
software to generate the 91.411 and
91.413 forms automatically.
Ham also offers classes at the AEA
International Convention & Trade Shows and AEA Regionals
on how to increase profits without increasing overhead. He also
regularly visits (and sometimes cooks for) classes at the AEA's
headquarters in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Still, as his customers
already know, AEA members can reach out anytime for advice.
Being an active member since 2017, WBParts Express has
continually supported the AEA's mission by being committed
to enhancing the profitability of its members. WBParts

AEA Convention and AEA Regionals. q
