IVSI and ESI replacement for Part 25 jet aircraft
We're rapidly expanding our customer base, wowing
passengers with internet entertainment that just plain

AEA Convention.

a new product, our SmartSky Private Intranet, " he

custom, direct routing of sensitive traffic that does not
touch the internet.

of their own enterprise network. In other words, a

gets a low-latency, secure, dedicated connection and
ample bandwidth that's not shared with other aircraft.
SmartSky only serves the aviation space.
" Behind the scenes, we make this work using our
SkyTelligence, SmartSky's data exchange platform
that supports the aviation community's digital
transformation that we're faced with. SkyTelligence
helps us move the right data to the right place at the
right time, with a secure connection, whether that data
is from the aircraft with an AID (aircraft interface
device) or that data is from the FAA's SWIM feed or
any of our numerous providers that provide data onto
the platform.
" In the case of our private intranet offer, our ATG
(air to ground) network and SkyTelligence work
together to ensure we make your aircraft a true node on
your network. "

" The first one is the GI 275 configured as an electronic
standby instrument, " which provides attitude, altitude
and airspeed, in both KIAS and Mach number. " The
STC is wide open to do many configurations that may
be needed to customize it to a specific aircraft, " Gomoll
added.
" Also available is an IVSI (instantaneous vertical
speed indicator) configuration of the GI 275. And this
is intended to replace older and failing IVSI displays
with TCAS II resolution advisory display.
" As an IVSI, we developed this STC as well as some
kits ... that allow for a one-hour change of the existing
IVSI to the Garmin GI 275. It includes integration
with TCAS II resolution advisory displays, it's lighter,
brighter and has continued support, long into the
future. As an ESI, this STC offers a simple all-in-one
display option to replace the failing electronic standby
instruments from 20 to 30 years ago now, as well as
some mechanical instruments, such as airspeed, ADI
(attitude director indicator) and altimeter.
" We also approved the use of GPS ... we can
bring it in from the navigation source, such as on the
Gulfstream GIV ... to take advantage of the GPS-aided
AHARS and synthetic vision display. "
