Association of Registrars and Collections Specialists
The 2019 meeting of the Association
of Registrars and Collections Specialists (ARCS) is set for November 7-9,
2019, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at
the Marriott Downtown, 1201 Market
Street. The event includes presentations, demonstrations, a trade show, and
many opportunities to network with fellow collections care
personnel from a wide variety of national and international
museums. The number of registrants is limited, so anyone
interested in attending is encouraged to register immediately.

ARCS hosts social events for registrars and collections
specialists at various locations in the US throughout the
year. These and other upcoming events can be found on the

The most recent ARCS webinar, "Conservation Red Flats,
was held July 10, 2019, and is now available on the ARCS
website.
A list of consulting registrars and collections specialists can

Collections Stewardship Professional
Network - American Association of Museums
The Collections Stewardship Professional Network (CSAAM) of the American Alliance of Museums is pleased to
welcome a new leadership team: the
new chair is Sebastián Encina (collections manager for the Kelsey Museum
of Archaeology at the University of
Michigan); the chair-elect is Linda Endersby (Registrar and
Collections Manager at the Museum of Art and Archaeology
at the University of Missouri); and the secretary is Caitlin
Podas (Registar at the Mingei International Museum in San

Diego, California). The annual business luncheon meeting at
the American Alliance of Museums in New Orleans in May
was well attended and overall attendance at the AAM meeting was up as well-and everyone enjoyed New Orleans.
The new leadership team is working on several new CSAAM
endeavors which will be announced soon on the website.
Information on Collections Stewardship activities and events
as well as useful links for collections stewardship are all
available on the website. The popular CS listserv is open
to all interested (membership is not required)-everyone is
welcome to participate in the discussions (https://www.collectionsstewardship.org/listserve).

Entomological Collections
Network
The Entomological Collections Network (ECN) is a non-profit organization
dedicated to the promotion of entomological science through the preservation,
management, use and development of
entomological collections and taxonomy. The 2019 annual ECN meeting will be held in St. Louis,
Missouri, on November 16-17, 2019. As usual, ECN will be
held in association with and directly ahead of the annual Entomological Society of America meetings. Early registration
is open (May 6 - August 30, 2019); regular registration and
on-site registration options are also available for both student
and regular member categories. Additional information can

Informatics Coordinator. Our entire
community is working hard on both
the upcoming 9th annual ADBC Summit in October 2019, as
well as the Biodiversity 2020 Summit to be held in Alexandria, Virginia, the 3rd week of September 2020-mark your
