relevant and enjoyable. The meeting survey revealed
uniformly that attendees would change their practice
based on what they learned at the meeting. Many of the
attendees that traveled from around the world for the
opportunity to attend the conference similarly affirmed
that it was well worth the trip.

Mariano at the Four Seasons in Oahu
assisted neuraxial placement and management of obesity
parturients " and " Anesthesia and analgesia for pregnant or
breastfeeding women " .
If you wanted a talk on " Quality improvement in
perioperative care primer " then Sapna Kudchadkar
provided this superbly, and if you needed to improve
team performance in your clinical practice, Alana
Flexman fabulously stepped up with " Teaming
for Anesthesiologists: Diagnosing dysfunction and
optimizing performance. " We could not let our social
media ambassadors escape to the beach without
educating us on professional social media to improve your
anesthesia practice and impact. Edward Mariano gave
a very insightful talk on " See one, do one, tweet one: the
present and future of regional anesthesia education " and
Sapna Kudchadkar spoke on " Two leaders Professional
Social Media for the Anesthesiologist: Nuts and bolts
for networking and education " . I am certain these talks
empowered many attendees to realize the benefits of
social media for education and professional networking.
One of the best parts of Hawaiian CME conferences is
the ability for speakers to interact with attendees both
during the meeting and afterwards in the resort. Input that
I received from attendees was uniformly highly positive,
with sessions described as evidence-based, clinically
All in all, this was a superb meeting that richly rewarded
both attendees, and the patients they will subsequently
care for. I certainly benefitted from the knowledge
imparted by the presenters, and enjoyed all that Oahu had
to offer. See you all next year at CSA Summer 2023! The
CSA Summer Conference will be held at the Four Seasons,
Oahu from July 17 to July 21. Those unable to wait a year
for an outstanding Hawaiian CME conference can sign
up for the 2023 CSA Annual Meeting CME at the Hyatt

Speaker and attendee reception
I want to acknowledge the superb speakers, who clearly
put in a lot of work to make their presentations extremely
high-quality, relevant and entertaining. A very special

their amazing help in making the meeting run flawlessly
(as usual). Lastly, thank you to the CSA attendees for your
dedication in attending the talks despite the constant
Hawaiian distractions, and for your thought-provoking
