grew significantly, and the lip profile was
acceptable. We recommended that the
general dentist monitor mandibular third
molars (Figures 11-12). Overall, this case was
finished well, and the ABO cast-radiograph
evaluation score was 16 (Figure 13).

Editor's Comments
During our personal communication, I learned that Dr. Andrews,
the first author, started to use the term functional bite turbos when
treating this patient before he read the 2020 case report by El-Bokle
and Abbas.3
In that article, the turbos were called bonded inclined
raisers. The same term was also used in a 2021 article by El-Bokle.4
The credit for this clinical pearl probably should be given to Kravitz,5
who published a 2018 article titled " Resin Bite Turbos. " Interestingly,

I was using these turbos for different types of cases and found them
useful in the patients I observed. More detailed information about
this technique can be found in these articles.
Another aspect that might be worth mentioning is that the authors
carefully examined the major components of smile esthetics, and
the final touch with the laser procedure made this already well-finished
case even better.
