GENERATE EXCITEMENT
Flex spaces provide the opportunity
to generate excitement with guests.
Once you've determined the concept
in the flex space, it is time to enhance
the marketing tactics by creating
excitement.
* Showcase pop-ups on certain days of
the week to grow anticipation.
> HHS has done this with a weekly
rotation of FlavorPort, a foodtruck-inspired
pop-up. The team
wears unique uniforms when
FlavorPort runs - it's something
noticeably different, and
customers love it! On the days it
runs, HHS sees a 15 percent to 18
percent increase in revenue.
* Offer free samples, as these are a
great way to excite customers about
your dishes. It's also an excellent
opportunity to showcase the quality
and taste of your food.
* Host contests and giveaways that
provide a central theme around your
flex space.
* Celebrate holidays by incorporating
themed menus into flex spaces.
* Arrange in-cafe events, such as
having chefs provide demos or
registered dietitians explaining
the benefits of menu items and
ingredients.
* Coach chefs and foodservice staff
on scripting techniques to draw
attention to new food items and
point customers in the direction of
the flex space offerings.
