We've had a lot to celebrate lately. It
began back in November when we
celebrated our first National CDM,
CFPP Day of the Year on November 28.
We received a unique surprise when
Representative Jen Kiggans (R-VA-2)
put a statement in the Congressional
Record to acknowledge this special

From February 5-9 we celebrated our
33rd annual Pride in Foodservice Week.
This week recognizes nutrition and
foodservice professionals working in
non-commercial dietary departments
including health care, senior living,
schools, and other settings. Many
facilities plan special events to honor
the individuals who work in food
service with lunches, gifts, recognition
events, and more.
Last but certainly not least, April 1-5
is ANFP Member Appreciation Week. I
always love this week as a small token
of gratitude for you being a part of
this organization. We only grow and
move forward with you, our 14,000+

ANFP INITIATIVES GIVE US
MUCH TO BE EXCITED ABOUT
WHETHER IT'S THE FLOWERS AND THE TREES, or the birds heading north, spring is
always a time of change and growth. For ANFP, it's no exception. There's a lot to be excited about
in our ANFP world and it's my pleasure to share some updates with you.
Speaking of events, I'd love to see you
at an ANFP live event this year. We
have a great lineup starting with a
Regional Meeting in Cleveland, Ohio
on April 18-19. The venue will be
Cuyahoga Community College, and
we have a very inspiring schedule this
year including interactive sessions and

We follow this with our Annual
Conference & Expo (ACE) in beautiful
Reno, Nev., June 10-13. The theme
this year is Adventure. Connection.
Education. We have an amazing agenda
ANFP implemented a new three-year
strategic plan in June 2023. I'm really
excited about the goals and vision
that have been put in place. Our work
hasn't stopped there though. In order
to keep the good work moving, I have
put together a few Task Forces that I
want to highlight. The first is the Live
Events Task Force. The goal of this
group is to look at ANFP's live events
and determine what is the best model
moving forward to continue providing
top-notch education and networking
opportunities in enticing locations.
I've also developed the Core Values
Task Force. As part of our new strategic
plan, we updated our mission and
vision this past year and we want to
align our core values with the new
goals and objectives. This task force
will be updating the existing ANFP
Core Values and I can't wait to share
that progress with you in the coming
months.
