Congratulations to the following award recipients.
ANFP PRESENTED ANNUAL
AWARDS to recipients at its Annual
Conference & Expo (ACE) in June.
Award recipients are individuals
or ANFP Corporate Partners
that consistently demonstrate
unwavering dedication to the
association and the foodservice
industry. The ANFP Awards
Program strives to celebrate
foodservice industry innovators,
and applauds individuals who
advance and support foodservice
professionals and the Certified
Dietary Manager, Certified Food
Protection Professional (CDM, CFPP)
credential.
Honorees are selected by the ANFP
Awards & Recognition Committee
after nomination. This year's
recipients were recognized at the
Honors Gala at ACE in Scottsdale,
Ariz. Their acceptance speeches are
available for viewing exclusively on
ANFPtv.
AMBASSADOR AWARD
The Ambassador Award is dedicated
to an industry colleague, such as
an administrator or a dietitian,
who demonstrates continuous
commitment to the CDM, CFPP
credential through mentoring and
support of the nutrition and foodservice
department leader within their facility.
Matt Dammeyer, PhD is a dedicated
ambassador for the CDM, CFPP
credential and shining example of
advocating for all who serve in the
nutrition and foodservice industry. His
continuous support of the credential
has made him an incredible asset to
Wyoming ANFP and its members.
He works to ensure the foodservice
department and all other departments
at Memorial Hospital of Converse
County (Wyo.) are engaged and their
professional development efforts are
supported. Dammeyer values input
from his employees and recognizes
their hard work. After coming on
board as CEO two years ago, he created
a recognition program, Champions of
Excellence. This program highlights
the extra effort and hard work of
employees, who are recognized and
rewarded for their commitment.
CDM, CFPP SPOTLIGHT
AWARD
The CDM, CFPP Spotlight Award honors
a member who has received their
chapter's CDM, CFPP of the Year Award
or was named as the CDM, CFPP of the
Month in Nutrition & Foodservice Edge
magazine in 2021-22. This person has
proven to be a devoted member of the
chapter as well as to ANFP.
Tammy Harms, CDM, CFPP has
been a CDM, CFPP for many years
and her dedication has not wavered.
She is admired by staff and has set
a leading example. She is known
to consistently put her residents'
needs first and accommodates their
requests whenever possible. Harms
continually maintains a positive
attitude even through the pandemic
and recent structural damage to her
facility that challenged her to continue
daily meal service using satellite
facilities for storage and preparations.
She has created an environment
where employees grow and thrive,
and residents appreciate the extra
attention and effort she puts forth to
meet their needs.

The Chapter Volunteer of the Year
Award recognizes an outstanding
chapter volunteer who serves as a
positive example to others, and whose
dedicated service, time, and efforts to the
