THE KENISON AWARD As APMSA's highest award, named after
Nehemiah Kenison, a visionary leader in the profession of chiropody
in the mid 1800's, the Kenison Award has a long history of recipients
throughout the profession for greatness. Each year, The Kenison
Award recipient is selected by the APMSA House of Delegates
from a pool of individuals nominated by students.
STUDENT OF THE YEAR AWARD Third year podiatric medical
students are nominated at each school by their respective classmates,
clinicians, or faculty members. The APMSA Presidents' Committee
confers and designates the Student of the Year recognizing
the individual's impact on their student body and
podiatric profession as a whole.
LEADERSHIP AWARD The award is presented
to the APMSA Delegate who has demonstrated
outstanding leadership and contributed greatly
to the APMSA House of Delegates.
OUTSTANDING ACHI EVEMENT AWARD Selected by
the APMSA President and President-Elect, the recipient of this
award showed tremendous achievement through discussion,
volunteer efforts, or presentation of action items during
the House of Delegates meeting.
PRESIDENT'S AWARD The recipient is recognized annually
for exemplary service to the president during their term.
PARTNER OF THE YEAR AWARD One organization
is annually selected by the APMSA House of Delegates
in recognition of their meritorious service and
support of APMSA during the year.
