kick-starting the podcast. However, she did not allow selfdoubt
to stop her from starting her platform. One could say
she accepted the reality of " getting comfortable with being
uncomfortable. " Her podcast has allowed her to connect with
many people to host as guests on her show and share their
remarkable experiences with her listeners. To Dr. Oexeman,
the most rewarding part is when she receives emails from premeds,
students, residents, and attendings reaching out to say
they have enjoyed her podcast and find it beneficial.
As a past guest on her show, it was an absolute pleasure
working with Dr. Oexeman. I was anxious about my first
podcast recording, but her easy-going spirit transformed the
atmosphere of a recording session into a video call with a
longtime friend. We had so many foot-puns on my episode
that we needed to pause for laugh breaks. Dr. Oexeman is
talented at getting guests to open up and feel confident while
sharing personal stories and experiences. I had completely
forgotten it was an interview, and I think our conservation
speaks for itself-we had a great time!
Dr. Oexeman has an entrepreneurial spirit, so there is always
a new project in the works that she hopes to discuss in the
