Congratulations to the
2023 Award Recipients

The 2023 Summer edition of Footnotes introduced many
nominees and participants of the Student of the Year
Award and National Quiz Bowl respectively. Two additional
awards were given to students at the 2023 APMSA
Annual House of Delegates, held in conjunction with the
APMA The National Meeting. The APMSA awarded its
Leadership Award to a member of the House of Delegates
who has demonstrated exemplary leadership on a national
level. PICA also awarded a full tuition scholarship to a
student who has demonstrated excellence throughout their
academic career. The Footnotes Editorial Board would like
to take the opportunity to congratulate the recipients of
these awards. The recipients were asked to provide some of
their experiences at the APMA National Conference as well
as some additional insights.
Quiz Bowl Winner

Favorite part of attending the APMA National: My favorite part attending
the APMA National was meeting all of the other contestants from the
other podiatry schools! It was great to be able to meet everyone from
the other podiatry schools!
Method of celebrating receiving your reward: I went out to dinner with
my mom and family friends who were at the conference to celebrate
winning.
Additional thoughts: It was a great opportunity to participate in the
student Quiz Bowl and I think all underclassmen should consider the
opportunity if it's given to them in the future!
